“We, the sisters of St. Ann of Providence in India, challenged by the life and mission of Jesus Christ, who is the incarnation of the compassionate love of the Father, re-dedicate ourselves with a creative fidelity towards the education of the children and youth, with special preference to the poor and the marginalized, to liberate and empower them by imparting quality education, installing in them the human values and thus enabling them to become instruments of Social Chang and thus fulfill the intention of our Founders, Marquis Carlo Tancredi and Marchioness Guilia Di Barolo.”
MISSION
“We, the sisters of St. Ann of Providence are called to place our total trust in God and by His Divine Power, for the little ones, youth and marginalized, into women and men of character, who will distinguish themselves by their academic and professional excellence, sound human values of love, peace and brotherhood/sisterhood, holistic growth in their intellectual, emotional, physical, aesthetic abilities with a spirit of selfless service and leadership qualities. Thus they will contribute their talents for the transformation of the present day conditions, towards building a just and eco-friendly human society, where genuine freedom, equality of opportunities, respect for religion, moral and science values found in the Gospels and enshrined in the Constitution of India will prevail.”
OBJECTIVES
Annites education is inspired by our Founder’s vision of man drawn from the life and teachings of Jesus Chirst and based on the principles of character formation elaborated by Carlo and Guilia di Barola.
The Sisters of St. Ann, engaged in educational work in 10 countries throughout the world for the last 181 years, reaffirm with conviction that the formation of youth through their Educational institutions continues to be one of the foremost services they can render to their people.
They believe that an essential need of their country is for a community of persons with deep faith, sound knowledge, intellectual and emotional maturity and more integrity, persons able and willing to render generous service of their fellowmen and women in building truly human society. It is therefore to the formation of such a community of an acquisition of useful skills in all of which they aim at excellence.
Being at the service of the whole country, St. Ann’s accepts boys and girls from every caste, creed and community and strives to educate them in the high ideals of humanism and unselfish service of their fellowmen and women.
Hence, the purpose of this school is not only to impart instruction but also to educate the whole boy and girl.
- To help the students to become mature, spiritually oriented people of character, free from egoism and self-seeking and from all attempts to exploit, one’s fellowmen and women.
- To encourage them continually to strive after excellence in every field, without however neglecting the welfare and need of their fellowmen and women.
- To value and judiciously use their freedom.
- To be clear and firm on principles and courageous in action.
- To become agents of needed social change in the country. Co-curricular activities receive due attention. The school has great Sports Programme.
